Christmas 2007

Left Mesa early Saturday morning and drove to Glen & CarrollLee Hicken's in Heber City, Utah to make it to the annual Hicken Christmas party. It was like the many parties in the past. After dinner we passed the white elephant gift while Grandma read the Right, Left Family story. Melissa wrapped two packages several times with duct tape, shipping tape and christmas wrap for the the oven mitt game.
Salt Lake Temple grounds were a highlight for us this Christmas season to look at the lights and enjoy a Christmas concert in the assembly hall. (Salt Lake Symphonic choir)
Cory, JoAnna and Kevin, Bruce, Jer and Melissa spent Christmas Eve and Christmas Day at Grandpa Sharps. We Played Risk most of Christmas Eve night till 4am, while the smart ones went to bed at 2am. Christmas morning was great! Traditional breakfast cereal boxes and oranges in the stockings. Those that braved the cold went to the park to play in the snow, while mom stayed back to fix dinner.
We visited Grandma Sharp at the care center on Christmas Eve and again a couple days later.
Melissa took the opportunity to gather her Utah friends together and hike the Spruces to Donut Falls. Bruce was also able to join Uncle Marty on one of his Daily hikes up Rock Canyon.
Friday after Christmas, Kyle and Alli visited with us at Grandpa Sharp's. We exchanged gifts and took time to learn how to blog. My favorite daughter in-law got us started!
